There are reports suggesting that Ralf Rangnick has emerged as a potential target for the English Football Association as they look to appoint a replacement for Sam Allardyce, who left earlier this week after he was secretly filmed discussing ways to “get around” the FA’s rules regarding third-party ownership.rangnick-1316677842
As at the time of this report the Football Association has not spoken of their choice of whom they would be approaching for the vacancy but according to Sky Sports News, the FA are keen to speak with Rangnick, who was interviewed for the job after Roy Hodgson resigned in the summer.
The 58-year-old has managed a number of clubs in his native Germany and is currently the sporting director of Bundesliga outfit RB Leipzig.
During his time with West Bromwich Albion, FA technical director Dan Ashworth held talks with Rangnick over a potential move to The Hawthorns. In the meantime Under-21 boss Gareth Southgate has been placed in charge for the next four fixtures.
