New Chelsea forward Alvaro Morata has reportedly told former Real Madrid teammates of his he is struggling to adapt to life in England.

The Spaniard joined the Blues in a club record deal for £67 million (R1.1 billion) earlier this transfer window, and reports are suggesting that the player is finding life difficult in the United Kingdom.

Morata looked lively on his Premier League debut this weekend against Burnley, coming off the bench to score and assist a goal in their 3-2 loss.

Despite impressing, reports have claimed that the ex-Real player is not warming up to life in England easily, and has been in constant talks with some of his former Los Blancos colleagues.

According to Diario Gol, Morata is feeling the pressure since moving to Chelsea, and he made some of his feelings public when admitting that English media are already “killing” him last week.

Manager Antonio Conte was happy with the Spaniard’s debut on Saturday, but admitted it is incredibly important that the player adapts to his philosophy.

The Blues’ next game is away to Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday afternoon – a match Morata could very well start.
