Quit notice: Frank sues for peace

A chieftain of the governing All Progressives Congress (APC), Timi Frank, has appealed to all the regional and youth leaders to give peace a chance and refrain from making comments that can pitch regions against one another.

Frank, in a statement issued and signed in Abuja, urged the APC-led Federal Government to reconsider the calls for restructuring of the nation to put an end to various agitations in the country.

He said restructuring was not synonymous to break-up in response to the Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, who said that restructuring the country is not a priority for the Muhammadu Buhari led administration.

The APC chieftain, called on President Muhammadu Buhari to listen to he called “the voices of reasoning” on restructuring, saying “It is now very clear from different utterances coming from regional leaders that most people are tired of the current system.”

Frank urged the Nigerian youths not to allow themselves to be used, saying that every region in the country is important in Nigeria project and to keep the nation together.

According to the APC Deputy Publicity Secretary, the recent Kaduna declaration by some northern youths on Igbos living in the north had been widely condemned, therefore other regions should take the paths of peace instead of making comments capable of creating tensions across the country.
