Tears ,whaling and pan­icked had during the week engulfed some residents of Lafia the Nasar­awa state capital during the week,as a police man while on duty at the Tudun Amba police division was killed by suspected unknown gun men.
The incident which was confirmed by the Nasarawa State command Police Pub­lic Relations Officer (PPRO) Mr Kennedy Idirisu was said to have took place in the early hours of Tuesday while the po­lice man was in the discharged of his legitimate duty.
The command spokesman however stated that the po­lice have ordered the state criminal and intelligence in­vestigation department to un­earth the killers as they are on top of the situation.

Relatively and penultimate week,4 persons in tragic auto crash involving a fire fighting truck which bashed into a J5 bus were reported to had been burnt to death as several oth­ers sustained serious injuries.
The accident which took placein the night at about 8:24pm along Jos road in La­fia was alleged to have been cause by a fire fighting vehicle.
Those said to be involved in the gory accident are suspect­ed to be traders who were re­turning from a long journey into Lafia.
Finding  had it that the accident resulted from the fire ser­vice vehicle alleged to have lost control while other said the vehicle had a tyre bust that forced the the fire tank­er to swap it lane heading to­wards Bukan Sidi onto the lane where the returning bus conveying the traders are.
An onlookers who spoke on condition of anonymity said he was 300meter away from the scene when the accident occured.
He added that it was diffi­cult for them to rescue the vic­tims until the use of an axe to force open the doors of the J5 which was already in flame but that they only succeed­ed in pulling out two persons who were already burnt to dead while others where rush to the hospital for treatment and he later learnt they died.
When contacted the state commandant of the Federal Road Safe­ty Commission(FRSC) Mrs Fustina Alegbe said the inci­dent was not formally report­ed to the commission as she got wings of the news like any other person in town,and at a later hour of the day.
But according to her as an agency that was charged with safety of persons and vehicular worthiness, she has authorised her personnel to embark in­vestigation to on root the im­mediate cause of the accident for record purposes.
However the Nasarawa state Police command spokesman DSP Kennedy Idirisu, has also confirmed the accident to have been reported where two persons die on the spot while two others died in the hospi­tal as a result of severe burnt with some others seriously in­jured as they were rushed to the hospital for medical at­tention.
In another recent develop­ment, a gang of armed robbers ambushed and robbed unsus­pected passenger on Obi Lo­cal government high way cart­ed away their belongings and monies in large sum of about one million (#1,000.000) Nai­ra .
Although no live was lost but the people in rhat area have riased the alarm over the continues activities of armed robbers,who have form the habit of attacking traders on market day of the communi­ties of Obi.
The IMC chairperson Haji­ya Sa’adatu Yahaya have called on the security to ensure peri­odic patrolling of the area to curb out criminal elements terrorising the people
