​Manchester City was held to 1 all draw by Middlesbrough at the Etihad, Man City took the lead when a Kevin de Bruyne’s cross was driven in by Sergio Aguero which happened to be their 18th shot of the afternoon. 

Manchester City carved open lots and lots of chances to put them in the lead but thanks to Victor Valdes who was on a fine form for the visitors denying the home side an earlier lead they deserved.

 After the break Boro showed remarkable improvement going forward with Alvaro Negredo forcing a save from Claudio Bravo with his wonderful lob from the halfway line. 

The Visitors continued with their surges forward but Manchester City stood trhier grounds. Boro finally equalized when De Roon headed home a nice inswinging cross from George Friend in the 91st minute just after De Bruyne missed an empty net following a trademark blunder by Victor Valdes and Aguero also missed an opportunity when he was found by Navas in the box.

Ten men Sunderland recorded a long overdue win against Bournemouth .It was a remarkable win for the black Cats as they were able to get their first 3 points of the season. The Cherries took the lead in the 11th minute when Dan Gosling converted a close range cross from Adams Smith. 

Surprisingly Sunderland drew level in the 33rd minute when Victor Anichebe smacked home a six yard shot pass Artur Boruc .

After the break Sunderland showed greater signs of improvement but were dealt with a huge blow when Steven Pieenar was shown a second yellow for a late challenge on Stansilas.

 Despite being a man down Moyes’ men pressed forward and were rewarded with a penalty kick when Anichebe was fouled by Adams Smith in the area. Defoe converted the spot kick to give Sunderland the morale boosting win.

Burnley played host to Crystal palace in what turned out to be a goal friendly encounter between the two sides. 

Burnley took the lead in just 90 seconds into the match through Sammy Vokes, the visitors doubled the lead when Gudmunsson drilled home a powerful shot although Steve Mandanda didn’t do enough to save the shot.

 The visitors pulled one back when Conor Wickham scored from his first touch of the ball after coming on as a substitute. 

Crystal Palace were awarded a penalty in the 81st minute when Matt Lowton blocked Andros Townsend’s cross with his hand and Benteke stroked in the spot kick to draw level.

This goal boosted the visitors morale but this morale booster was cut short when substitute Barnes who just returned from injury smashed home for the visitors fourth minute of injury time.

Crystal Palace nearly draw level by an Andros Townsend shot that was denied by the goal post. Palace have now lost 4 straight league games.

At the Olympic Stadium home of Westham United F.C, Bojan Krkic rescued a point for the potters as they extended their unbeaten runs to six. 

Westham took the lead when Michel Antonio headed home from a Dimitri Payet’s cross which came off Glenn Whelan. 

Westham’s goalkeeper might have conceded a penalty for a foul on Walters but the referee signalled play on and Bojan volleyed in from his team-mate’s cross.

Stoke almost grabbed a late winner through a Charlie Adam free kick but thanks to palmed save from Adrian to keep the final scores at 1 all. 

And finally, Chelsea thumped Everton 5-0 at the Stamford Bridge to go top of the table for the first time since August. 

Hazard put Chelsea In the lead with a lowed angled shot before  Marcos Alonso doubled the lead just minutes later when he drove home a shot through Stekelenburg’s legs before Diego costa made it 3 before halftime.

Hazard scored again shortly after the break before Pedro put a gloss on the result when he tapped into an empty net. Everton were disappointing in defeat as they didn’t manage a single shot on target. Chelsea has scored 16 goals and conceded none in their last 5 games
