It was a beautiful afternoon for every Epl fan in town ,the much anticipated weekend of matches in the wonderful and most competitive league in the world is finally here . It turned out to be a bad day for Frank Guidolin and his boys .The match against Liverpool took place at the Liberty stadium in south Wales which happens to be the home ground of Swansea Fc also known as the Swans.

Leroy Fer gave the hosts a first-half lead when he steered the ball home from close range at the back post after Baston Borja’s knockdown from a corner.Liverpool could have conceded another had Borja not been so wayward with a free header and Liverpool fans may have feared another hard lucky story, akin to their only defeat of the season at Burnley, on 20 August.

Roberto Firmino levelled up for the visitors from an outswinging cross from Jordan Henderson before James Milner scored from the penalty spot  six minutes from stoppage time after refree Micheal Oliver pointed to the spot after Roberto Firmino was pulled down in the box by Angel Rangel.

The Swans remain one point above the relegation zone and have not won in the league since the opening day of the season.

But the club’s owners had indicated before the game that the manner of performances would have as much of a bearing on Guidolin’s future as the results.

After the international break, Swansea face another tough game in the Premier League when they head to Arsenal on Saturday, 15 October . Liverpool face fierce rivals Manchester United at Anfield on Monday, 17 October
