Juventus are confident they have won the race to sign striker Keita Balde Diao from Lazio.

Keita’s contract expires at the end of the season and he has resisted offers to sign a new deal at the Rome club.

Italian champions Juve have faced competition from Milan for the 22-year-old who joined Lazio from Barcelona in 2011.

The Senegal international is out of contract and has also been linked with AC Milan

Last month, Keita scored three goals in five minutes against Palermo – Serie A’ s fastest hat-trick in 42 years.

He followed it with two goals in the derby against Roma.

Lazio are fourth in Serie A, 17 points behind leaders Juventus and seven adrift of third-placed Napoli with four games remaining in the race for a Champions League place.

The striker has also caught the eye of English sides Manchester United and Chelsea in the past
