Most football fans dread the international week because we do not get to see our favourite stars playing for  thier clubs but instead they turn up in national colours.

Qualifying matches would be played in stadias across the continents but so far so good some of the fixtures have been honored and here are updates of today’s fixtures.

Italy played hosts to spain today ,the match ended in a 1 all draw with  a goal from Machin Perez in the 55th minute to put spain ahead before Daniele de Rossi equalized from the penalty spot in the 82nd minute for Italy extending his country’s unbeaten run in qualifiers to 52 games.

Austria were also at home to Wales and they had to comeback twice to force a 2-all draw against Wales.

Joe Allen’s half-volley put Wales ahead but slack marking allowed Marko Arnautovic to nod the hosts level.

Wales were fortunate to regain the lead through Kevin Wimmer’s own goal – a day after Austria manager Marcel Koller had called his opponents“lucky”.

Arnautovic seized on more sloppy defending to level again but Wales held on for a point to stay top of Group D.

Modolva played host to Serbia ,but on the evening it was the visitors who came out victorious with goals from Kosic in the 19th minutes,Ivanovic 37th while Tadic broke the heart of the home fans by driving home the 3rd goal in the 59th minute.

Kosovo was also defeated 6-o by Croatia right in front of Kosovo’s fans with goals from Mandzukic (6min, 24min, 35 min) ,Mitrovic (68 min ) ,Perisic ( 83 min) and Kalinic ( 90 min + 2 )

Litchesitein also lost to Albania right in front of thier fans. An own goal by Jehle in the 11 minute and another by Balaj (71 min),was enough to secure Albania’s victory away from home.

Elsewhere Republic of ireland played at home and showed they where up to  the task when they defeated Georgia by a lone goal which was scored in the 56th minute by Seamus coleman.

Iceland played host to Finland and they had to comeback behind twice to win the tie.Finland took the lead with the first goal of the match from Pukki in the 21st minute before  Arnason ( 37 ‘ ) equalized.

Finland took the lead again in the 39th minute with a goal from Lod and Finnbogason ( 90 ‘ ) levelled up for iceland and Sigurdsson grabbed the winner in the 95th minutes to secure a victory for Iceland.

Macedonia played host to Isreal but they lost right at thier home ground loosing 1-2 to Isreal.Isreal opened the score board by a goal from Hemed in the 25th minute ,Ben haim doubled the lead in the 43rd minute.Macedonia scored what happend to be just a consolation goal in the 63rd minute.

Tibi was shown a red card after conceeding a foul in the penalty area,gifting Macedonia a lifeline but Adis Jahovic failed to capitalise on this great opportunity his right footed shot was saved in the bottom left corner. 

Finally Turkey played host to Ukraine at Istanbul.Turkey came back from a 2 goal deficit to force  a 2-all draw with Ukraine.Ukraine took the lead in the 24th minute with Yamelenko converting a spot kick.Ukraine doubled thier lead in the 27 minute with a nice goal from Klavets.

Tufan scored what seems to be a wake up call for Turkey at added time in the first half before Calhanoglu scored from the spot in the 81st min to make sure both teams splits points.
