A group of Monaco Ultras has condemned the behaviour of Kylian Mbappe and his entourage during the summer transfer window as the star attacker inches closer to a move to PSG.

Reports in French suggest that PSG are in talks with Monaco over a mammoth €140 move for the 18-year-old.

To avoid Financial Fair Play sanctions from UEFA – after the signing of Neymar for €189 million – it looks like the French international will join on loan first before the transfer is made permanent next summer.

Mbappe was dropped for Friday’s win over Metz following a training ground bust-up with team-mate Andrea Raggi and is yet to play for the French champions this season.

That led to the Monaco Ultras releasing a statement criticising his behaviour and warned the player.

“In recent times we have witnessed with astonishment and indignation the figures quoted by the media about the transfer of Mbappé, but also about the salary to renew his contract with our club,” read the statement.

“We think that no player is worth so many millions of euros. We believe football is for everyone and values such as the love of the shirt and respect for the club where you been your career. We can not accept that one of our players has acted in that way and demand such figures, without having disputed more than a few dozen matches at professional level.

“We would like to remind Kylian Mbappé and his clan that nothing and nobody is above the institution of AS Monaco FC. We therefore strongly hope that our representatives will take the necessary decision to close this case if these requirements are confirmed while taking into consideration that it is essential not to strengthen the competition for the title.”

“Since their arrival, they have shown us their ability and we fully believe in them to build a team capable of defending the title, with or without Mbappé.”

Mbappe was an inspirational presence for the French Rivera side last season, scoring 26 goals and providing eight assists in 46 games, but now looks set for a move to the capital.
